IOP Publishing hosts Community Apprentice fundraiser with Envison

IOP Publishing is keen to support and inspire future generations as they start to prepare themselves for their forthcoming careers.

One way we do this is through our partnership with Envision and its Community Apprenticeship Programme.

The 10-month programme brings participating young adults from our assigned local school into the IOP Publishing office to see the work we do and put the business into context. They are also given mentors from IOP Publishing who volunteer to support the teenagers in developing their confidence and skills.

The Community Apprenticeship Programme is designed to deliver three clearly defined outcomes: inner confidence (or self-efficacy), outer, or social, confidence and leadership/employability skills (grit, creativity, teamwork and communication).
