Festive celebrations will spread across the Campbelltown region throughout November and December, with a variety of Christmas-themed community events and activities.

Families can enjoy a range of events, activities and workshops, with beloved festive favourites returning alongside new highlights for everyone to enjoy.

"There's something truly magical about Christmas in Campbelltown," Mayor of Campbelltown Cr Darcy Lound said.

"It's a time when many in our community come together to celebrate, connect and share joy. Whether you're making memories with loved ones, enjoying our festive events or giving back through the Mayor's Christmas Appeal, there's something for everyone to feel part of the season."

"Each year, our Christmas program grows in popularity and I'm proud to see Campbelltown shine so brightly during this special time." Cr Lound said.

Campbelltown Christmas Markets will bring festive cheer to Lithgow Street with a range of stalls, roaming performances, visits from Santa, face painting, makers workshops and live music on Sunday 16 November and Sunday 21 December, from 8am to 1pm.

Residents are invited to participate in Wreath Making Workshops, held at The Aviary on Q, Queen Street, throughout November and December.

The popular Light the Tree will return to the Campbelltown Civic Centre on Friday 28 November, from 6pm to 9pm, bringing free, festive, family fun, kids activities and entertainment, concluding with the lighting of the Christmas tree by Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Darcy Lound.

Campbelltown Libraries branches will host a range of festive events through December for everyone to enjoy, including:

  • Geekmas – The ultimate gathering for fans of all things nerdy, Monday 1 December, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, at Campbelltown Library, HJ Daley.
  • Laser Cut Your Own Christmas Tree Ornament workshop for youth – Monday 11 December, 3pm to 5pm, at Campbelltown Library, HJ Daley.
  • Decorate a Cardboard Gingerbread House workshops for kids – Tuesday 16 December at multiple locations and times.

Families can enjoy three pop-up Merry Movie Nights in December with special screenings of Home Alone 2 on Thursday 4 December, Polar Express on Thursday 11 December and Elf on Thursday 18 December at Forum Q on Lithgow Street, from 7.30pm each night.

The iconic Rocking Around Campbelltown Christmas Convoy will return on Saturday 6 December as Santa visits four event locations across Campbelltown with free Santa photos, live music, roaming entertainers, activity stations and food trucks offered from 10am to 5.30pm.

Santa's convoy will stop at:

  • Mont St Quentin Oval, Bardia, 9.30am to 11am
  • Eagle Farm Reserve, Eagle Vale 11am to 1pm
  • Cook Reserve, Ruse 12.30pm to 2.30pm
  • Club Menangle Trackside, Menangle Park 2.30pm to 5.30pm

The convoy will finish its journey at the Campbelltown Athletics Centre, with Campbelltown Christmas Carols commencing at 5pm, which offers a night of live carols entertainment, 9pm fireworks and a special appearance from Santa.

The celebrations will continue at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands on Saturday 13 December, from 11am to 4pm, with a festive-themed treasure hunt, jumping castle, face painting and special roaming appearances from Santa and his Elf.

Residents are also encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items as part of the Mayor's Christmas Appeal from Wednesday 12 November to Thursday 18 December. Donations can be placed in the collection boxes at the Campbelltown Civic Centre or at any of our library branches during regular opening hours.
