It's snow joke: Johns Hopkins ice rink at Homewood returns

Johns Hopkins University

Lace up the skates and prepare for the return of the ice rink at Johns Hopkins' Homewood campus, which opens on Friday, Jan. 13. Advance registration is available now; attendees can register for themselves as well as family members and additional skaters. The rink will be open through Sunday, Feb. 19, with weekdays reserved for the Hopkins community and weekends providing access to the local Baltimore community.

After making its debut last year, the rink's return offers a new opportunity to make lasting memories this winter. The ice rink will be located on the north side of the Homewood campus on the tennis courts adjacent to North Charles Street, and the skating experience, as well as rental skates, are available free of charge to participants.

Attendees are required to register for a 90-minute skate session, and all participants, regardless of age, are required to complete a waiver before skating; those under 18 can have the waiver filled out by a parent or guardian.

Special theme nights make their return as well, including Disney, Marvel vs. DC Comics, disco throwback, and Hopkins spirit, among many others.
