Jacana Collision Leaves Woman With Life-Threatening Injuries

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a collision that left a woman with life-threatening injuries in Jacana last night.

It is believed a pedestrian was walking across the road when she was struck by a Toyota hatchback on Johnstone Street around 9.45pm.

The 40-year-old Jacana woman sustained life-threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver, a 58-year-old Greenvale man, stopped at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
