Jane Brook Bushfire - Information Sought

Strike Force Vulcan officers are seeking the public's assistance for information as they investigate a bushfire that occurred in Jane Brook on Saturday, 14 February 2026.

About 3.55pm, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were advised of a bushfire in Bourke View Park which is bordered by Viveash Road, Dongara Circle, and Bourke View.

DFES extinguished the fire which threatened homes and burnt approximately 3,000 square metres of vegetation.

The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious, and investigators urge anyone with any information relating to this fire to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000. Reports can be made anonymously.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
