Joint drug operation smashes organised drug syndicate, Narangba

Detectives from the Organised Crime Gangs Group have closed a joint operation targeting the trafficking of dangerous drugs by organised crime groups including members associated with the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, resulting in the arrest of two people on 18 charges.

Police will allege on Thursday, February 10, detectives, assisted by specialist dog handlers, located drugs including more than 250 grams of cocaine, cannabis, steroids, diazepam, oxycodone and things used in the commission of a drug offence during the search of a Narangba house.

A 27-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both from Narangba, were each charged with six counts of possession of a dangerous drug, one count each of possession of property used in connection with a drug offence, possessions of property being proceeds of a drug offence and possession of explosives (fireworks). They are due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on March 8.
