Keep Immunisations Current During World Immunisation Week

Next week, from 24 to 30 April marks, World Immunsiation Week! Vaccines play a crucial role in safeguarding us against diseases and enable us to lead longer and healthier lives.

Get up to date with your vaccinations by attending a free immunisation session at Mill Park Baptist Church on 26 April at 12.30 to 2.30pm. Enjoy face painting, arts and craft activities, a free children's book and fruit!

Stay Ahead of Flu Season: 2024 flu Vaccine Now Available

As winter approaches, along with the dreaded flu season, protect your heath and book in for the flu vaccine.

The flu vaccine is now available and recommended for anyone aged 6 months and above who want to reduce the likelihood of becoming ill with influenza.

The Flu isn't fun for anyone and can cause serious illness for young children and the elderly.

Getting the flu vaccine not only protects you but it also helps stops the spread to those who might be vulnerable.

The flu vaccine is now available at all our public immunisation sessions with additional appointments in the evening available at Galada Community Activity Centre, Thomastown Library, Kirrip Community Activity Centre and Mernda Community Activity Centre.

It is free of charge for:

· all children from 6 months and under 5 years old

· people 5 years and over, with a medical risk factor

· pregnant women

· people over 65

· Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all ages.

For everyone else, the flu vaccine is available at a cost of $22 per dose.
