Townsville City Council is encouraging residents in low-lying areas to take precautions ahead of king tides expected from Monday.
The king tide is forecast to reach 3.84m at 7.54pm on Monday, followed by further peaks of 3.98m at 8.31pm on Tuesday, 3.99m at 9.09pm on Wednesday and 3.87m at 9.45pm on Thursday.
Council recommends residents in areas prone to minor flooding during king tides take necessary precautions.
Suburbs like South Townsville and Railway Estate may be impacted, along with Hanran Street and Ogden Street in the city.
Motorists are asked to observe any warnings and road closures.
