Labor Faces VCAT Over Secret CFMEU Corruption Briefs

Liberal Party Victoria
Premier Jacinta Allan's cover-up of the largest corruption scandal in Victoria's history continues.

Since October 2025, Premier Allan's personal office has fought a Liberals and Nationals Freedom of Information (FOI) request for briefs on corruption on Big Build sites. The request sought:

"Briefings, advice, and any other correspondence created in or by the Office of Premier the Hon. Jacinta Allan, or the Office of the previous Premier the Hon. Daniel Andrews, or staff in either Premier's office, concerning corruption in construction and/or corruption on the Big Build sites and/or corruption involving the CFMEU, from 1 January 2020 to present."

The Premier's office will face a VCAT hearing today at 2pm over its failure to respond on this FOI, despite the wording of the request being agreed up by the government in October 2025.

The Premier's office has said it has, "not finalised its decision due to the current heavy workload of the team responsible."

Liberal Shadow Minister, David Davis, said: "It's time Labor came clean on corruption on Big Build sites.

"$15 billion has been taken out of the pockets of hardworking Victorians into the hands of corrupt criminals and bikies, and this government continues to hide that they knew it was going on."

The VCAT hearing is open, and the public may attend with the following details:
