Tasmania’s firefighting capabilities have been boosted with another 30 Trainee Firefighters graduating today from course 1 of the 2021 Firefighting Development Program at Cambridge.
I would like to congratulate the new firefighters who make up the largest ever recruit course in the Tasmania Fire Service’s history.
They now join what is regarded as one of the most respected careers, and will make a real difference in the Tasmanian community.
The newly graduated firefighters will be posted around the State, with 18 to the Southern Region, five to the North West and seven to the Northern Region.
I wish today’s graduates all the best for a very rewarding career with the TFS as they work to keep Tasmanians safe.
