Lawrence Livermore National Security (LLNS), LLC, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) employees once again demonstrated their commitment to supporting communities and nonprofit organizations through the annual Helping Others More Effectively (HOME) Campaign. Employees and LLNS collectively donated more than $3.75 million, including a $1 million match from LLNS, to charitable organizations selected by employees. In addition to the $1 million match, $300,000 from LLNS has been allocated for a year-round giving campaign in 2026.

This year, 752 employees participated in the HOME Campaign from Oct. 30 to Dec. 2, representing 9% of the Lab population. The campaign welcomed 148 new donors, and together, employee donations generously impacted 1,083 charities. In total, 2,490 donations were processed, with the LLNS match factor reaching 36%. Employee generosity reached new heights, with total dollars donated increasing significantly over last year.

In addition to the HOME Campaign, LLNL employees responded to urgent needs through the newly introduced Giving Pathways initiatives. More than $82,000 was pledged to Southern California fire relief efforts, over $14,750 to support Texas flood disaster relief, and more than $276,000 was donated through the Open Match Giving Campaign. Collectively, these efforts, combined with the HOME Campaign, resulted in more than $4.1 million pledged by LLNL employees in 2025.

Kim Budil, president of LLNS and director of the Laboratory, expressed her appreciation for the Lab's philanthropic spirit: "Our employees continue to inspire with their generosity and commitment to making a difference. The HOME Campaign and Giving Pathways initiatives reflect our shared values and dedication to supporting communities near and far."

Since 1974, the HOME Campaign has provided employees with opportunities to support nonprofits important to them. Over the past 51 years, the campaign has raised more than $86 million to benefit thousands of organizations locally and nationwide.

"I am deeply grateful for our employees' compassion and for the ongoing support of our parent company, LLNS," said Carolyn Zerkle, LLNS vice president and principal deputy director at LLNL. "Together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of others."
