Learner driver and supervisor test positive to drugs, SA

A learner driver and his supervising driver both tested positive to cannabis during a traffic stop at Lockleys this week, according to SA Police.

About 4pm on Wednesday 15 June, a car being driven by a learner driver was stopped at a static driver testing site on Henley Beach Road at Lockleys.

The driver, a 26-year-old Torrensville man, returned a positive test to cannabis. His supervising driver, a 50-year-old Dover Gardens man, was also required to submit to a roadside drug test and also tested positive to cannabis.

Both the learner and supervising driver were directed not to drive and may be issued with an expiation notice, pending the forensic analysis of the samples.
