Orange City Council has placed Amendment 40 to the Orange Local Environmental Plan 2011 (LEP) on public exhibition for comment.
The proposal is about establishing a new neighbourhood supermarket at the Bloomfield Medical Centre in Forest Road.
The proposal would establish an Additional Permitted Use for a 650m2 neighbourhood supermarket at the Bloomfield Medical Centre.
The Planning Proposal seeks the following amendments:
- creation of a new entry in Schedule 1 of the LEP to establish an Additional Permitted Use on the land;
- amending the associated Additional Permitted Uses Map to reflect the location of the additional permitted use;
- that the additional permitted use be located within the area known as Precinct 1 on which the private hospital has been constructed, specifically part of the ground floor of a recently constructed building; and
- that the additional permitted use is to consist of a 'Neighbourhood Supermarket' as defined in the LEP dictionary up to a maximum of 650m2 in gross floor area.
The exhibition documents are available online on this page and are also available for viewing at the Orange Civic Centre at the Customer Service Counter, ground floor – corner of Byng Street and Lords Place, Orange – during ordinary office hours, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
