Liquor Licence Suspension In Alice Springs 4 April

Northern Territory Police have served a notice of suspension to a licenced premises on Gap Road in Alice Springs today.

This decision follows a series of concerning incidents at the licensed premises over a number of days culminating in the requirement for Police to resolve four incidents on 3 March involving intoxicated individuals and behavioural offences stemming from excessive alcohol consumption.

Acting Commander Drew Slape said, "The Northern Territory Police remains committed to upholding public safety and enforcing regulations to prevent alcohol related harm within the community.

"The decision to temporarily suspend the premises under Section 258 of the Liquor Act for 48 hours underscores the importance of responsible alcohol management.

"We urge all licensed establishment to prioritise the safety and well-being of patrons and the community at large. We also remind the public to consume alcohol responsibly and to respect the laws and regulations governing licensed premises."
