South Australian Tourism Commission

As players prepare to tee off for LIV Golf Adelaide, dates for next year's edition have been unveiled, with LIV Golf Adelaide 2027 due to take place from 18 - 21 March at Kooyonga Golf Club.

The move to March continues to put the league's flagship event - awarded the World's Best Golf Event for three year's running - in the spotlight of the global golf audience.

Fans attending this week's event will have early access to specially priced 2027 hospitality and grounds tickets beginning this Sunday 15 February, before tickets go on sale on Monday 16 February at LIVGolf.com.

Next season, fans and players can expect a new and unforgettable experience with Kooyonga's perfectly conditioned course ranked in the top 20 golf courses of Australia.

Adelaide will remain the exclusive home to LIV Golf in Australia through at least 2031, as the world's first truly global golf league will move to the redeveloped North Adelaide Golf Course in 2028, bringing the action into the heart of the Adelaide CBD for the long term.

LIV Golf Adelaide 2026 is again set to deliver strong economic results for the state's tourism and hospitality sectors, with the Friday and Saturday nights already showing strong hotel forward bookings across Adelaide and surrounds.

Latest CoStar data shows on Friday and Saturday nights, forward bookings for hotels in and around the city will be over 80% occupied - meaning on average around 9,340 rooms will be occupied each night. This marks a significant increase of an additional 2,518 bookings on last year, making LIV Golf one of the biggest events for visitors staying in Adelaide hotels.

Since inception in 2023, the LIV Golf Adelaide's tournament has injected more than $217 million into South Australia's economy - last year alone saw a record contribution of over $81 million.

The 2025 event saw over 102,000 attendees pass through the gates across the three days. With an extra day on the line-up this year, the numbers are expected to be even higher.

Ticket sales are again strong for 2026 - with a limited number of tickets still available. The event also continues to be popular with interstate and overseas visitors, with numbers expected to be up on last year, further boosting hotel occupancy over the weekend.

Free public transport is available across the Adelaide Metro network for ticket holders, as well as dedicated LIV Golf shuttle buses driving fans from across Adelaide to The Grange Golf Club all weekend.

Premier Peter Malinauskas said LIV Golf Adelaide is a major success story for South Australia and global golf.

"We're thrilled for the next instalment at Kooyonga Golf Club in March 2027 as we continue planning for LIV Golf's exciting future in Adelaide," Premier Malinauskas said.

"LIV Golf is delivering tangible economic returns for South Australia. Forward bookings show hotels across Adelaide operating at more than 80 per cent occupancy this weekend - representing thousands of rooms filled and strong trade for our hospitality sector."

"Since its inception in 2023, LIV Golf has injected more than $217 million into our State' s economy, including a record contribution of over $81 million last year alone."

"More broadly, South Australia's visitor expenditure now sits at $10.6 billion, underscoring the strength of our tourism sector and the impact of our major events strategy."

"This is exactly why we back major events - they drive visitation, increase visitor expenditure and support local jobs and businesses. With the tournament secured in Adelaide through 2031, we are providing certainty to industry and ensuring these economic benefits continue."

LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil said the event continues to be the blueprint for the league's global event model.

"We pride ourselves on putting on fan-friendly shows that allow the superstars of golf to shine, and nowhere is that better showcased than Adelaide," he said.

"South Australia has been a true partner in embracing the LIV Golf model that is making a true impact on and off the golf course, and we couldn't be more excited about the future of this event at Kooyonga Golf Club in 2027 followed by North Adelaide for years to come."
