The University of Liverpool has entered the top 20 of The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 - its highest position in more than a decade.
The University climbs five places to 18th in the national league table, placing it second in the North West.
The ranking marks another milestone in Liverpool's upward trajectory across both domestic and international league tables.
It follows a strong performance in the Guardian University Guide 2026, where the University rose six places to 21st earlier this week.
Both successes build on improvements across all areas of the 2025 National Student Survey (NSS), in which Liverpool outperformed both the Russell Group and the wider higher education sector overall.
The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide assesses 133 universities across a wide range of measures, including student satisfaction, teaching excellence, research quality, degree completion rates, and graduate employment prospects.
Alongside the overall institutional rise, the guide also highlights Liverpool's strengths across individual subjects, with [XX] featured in the rankings and [XX] achieving top-ten positions nationally.
