Local Firms Urged to Explore Export Opportunities

Swan Hill Rural City Council is encouraging local businesses to explore new growth opportunities through an upcoming export-focused event designed to help regional industries build confidence and capability in global markets.

The Growing Export Opportunities in the Loddon Mallee event will be held on Monday 22 June 2026 at the Swan Hill Tourism and Cultural Experience Centre.

Hosted in partnership with Regional Development Australia - Loddon Mallee, Global Victoria and Regional Development Victoria, the free event will provide practical information and insights for businesses interested in exporting or strengthening existing export activity.

Attendees will hear from industry specialists and regional exporters on current global market trends, products in demand, export requirements and real-world experiences navigating international markets.

Swan Hill Rural City Council Director Development and Planning, Michelle Grainger said the event was a valuable opportunity for local businesses to better understand export pathways and connect with experts in the field.

"Exporting can open significant opportunities for regional businesses, but knowing where to start can often feel overwhelming," Ms Grainger said.

"This event is designed to provide practical, accessible information that helps businesses understand export potential, build confidence and make valuable industry connections.

"Our region produces high-quality products and services with strong potential beyond domestic markets, and we encourage businesses from across the municipality to take advantage of this opportunity."

The event will run from 10.30am to 1pm and conclude with a networking lunch.
