Griffith City Council is inviting local young people to take part in a new creative project designed to celebrate youth voices and community connection.
YOUth Vision: Mosaic Mural will see young people work together to create a large-scale public artwork made up of 54 individual canvas tiles, forming a vibrant collective mosaic.
The project has been developed through a co-design workshop with members of the Youth Advisory Group (YAG), capturing their ideas, stories and vision for the community.
Council's Youth Advisor, Tithi Patel said the initiative highlights the important role young people play in shaping Griffith's future.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to express themselves, connect with others and contribute to a lasting piece of public art for our community," she said.
Council will host two hands-on workshops where participants will create their own painted tile, which will form part of the final mural.
Young people aged 12–24 of all skill levels, are encouraged to take part.
The workshops will be held at Griffith Pioneer Park Museum on Sunday 14 June 2026. Session 1 from 9am - 12pm and Session 2 from 1pm - 4 pm.
The finished mural will be on display for the whole community to enjoy at Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre.
The project is delivered by young people of Griffith, ConnectYouth 2680 and proudly funded by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice.
Young people are encouraged to get involved, try something new and leave their mark on a unique community artwork. Book your spot: https://tinyurl.com/3e6tybju
