A Lotterywest grant of $1.8 million is supporting Binar Futures to strengthen organisational capability and sustain culturally secure programs for Aboriginal youth and communities across Western Australia.
Each year, Binar Futures engages thousands of young people across metropolitan, regional, and remote Western Australia through integrated sports-based programs that improve participation, wellbeing, health, education and community connection.
Using basketball as an entry point, Binar Futures connects young people with cultural learning, homework support, health initiatives and leadership development - strengthening education and employment pathways while deepening community ties.
Lotterywest funding will support core capacity-building to enable Binar Futures to scale services, strengthen organisational resilience and sustainability.
Binar Futures is an Aboriginal-led organisation that has grown from a single basketball team into a State-wide provider of cultural education, youth leadership, health, sport and wellbeing programs.
