Prahran Divisional Response Unit officers have charged a man and woman and seized more than $32,000 of drugs, cash and weapons including a flame thrower in Malvern East yesterday.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a property on Batesford Road about 9am on 9 September.
A 62-year-old man and 49-year-old woman were arrested inside.
Officers searched the property, allegedly locating and seizing:
- cannabis plants worth an estimated $25,000
- approximately 1.4kg of green vegetable matter worth an estimated $7,500
- $19,950 cash
- tasers
- machetes
- knives
- a flame thrower
The pair were both charged with cultivate narcotic plant, traffick cannabis, possess cannabis, possess prohibited weapon and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
They were both bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 1 March 2027.
