Man Arrested for Serious Firearms Offences in Morphett Vale

A man has been charged with multiple firearms offences after police searched his Morphett Vale home yesterday.

Following an investigation, about 9am on Thursday 3 August police from Serious Firearms Investigation Section attended and searched a Morphett Vale address.

Police located four firearms, including a sawn-off rifle suspected of being stolen, a handgun in the process of being adapted with 3D printed parts, a 'Glock' gel blaster and a fully 3D printed handgun. Police also located a 3D printer and accessories, two homemade tasers and prescribed equipment used for production of cannabis.

A 35-year-old Morphett Vale man was arrested and charged with two counts of manufacture firearm, two counts of possess prescribed firearm, two counts of possess firearm without a licence, possess dangerous article and possess prescribed equipment.

He was granted bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 6 December 2023.
