Man caught travelling 66km/h over speed limit, SA

A Eudunda man has lost his licence on the spot after being caught speeding at more than 60 km/h over the posted speed limit, according to SA Police.

Barossa Highway Patrols were conducting speed detection duties on the Thiele Highway, Bagot Well about 2.30pm on Friday 7 October when they detected a car travelling at 166 km/h. The speed limit on that section of road is 100 km/h.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver, a 27-year-old man, was issued with a $1052.00 expiation notice and a six-month immediate loss of licence.
