A man has been charged over the alleged indecent assault of a girl at a gaming arcade in Sydney's CBD.
About 2.10pm yesterday (Sunday 27 January 2019), an 11-year-old girl was in a gaming arcade in a shopping centre on Hay Street, Haymarket, when she was approached by an unknown man.
Police will allege he indecently assaulted the girl before she told family members.
The man left the scene and police were notified.
Detectives from Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident, releasing CCTV images of a man they believe could assist with inquiries.
About 10.10am today (Monday 28 January 2019), a 51-year-old man was arrested at a shopping centre on Darling Drive, Darling Harbour.
He was taken to Day Street Police Station and charged with intentionally sexually touch child (x2).
He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 29 January 2019).
