Man charged, drugs seized during vehicle stop at Gunnedah

A man has been charged after drugs were found during a vehicle stop in the state's north east.

About 1.30pm on Friday (22 November 2019) officers attached to Oxley Police District were conducting random breath tests when they stopped a Holden Colorado for roadside testing on Booloocooroo Road at Gunnedah.

The driver, a man aged 62, returned a positive indication and the vehicle was subsequently searched.

During the search of the vehicle, officers located more than 450g of cannabis, along with methamphetamine, cash and other prohibited drugs.

The man was arrested and taken to Gunnedah Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug less than indictable (x2), possess prohibited drug (x4) and deal with property proceeds of crime.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Gunnedah Local Court on Tuesday 3 December 2019.
