A man is set to face court following an alleged driving incident south of Taree, NSW Police say.
Police have been told about 6.50am on Friday 7 December 2018, two cyclists, aged 61 and 57, were cycling along Manning River Drive at Glenthorne, when a 51-year-old man travelling in the same direction in a silver Ford Territory began allegedly driving aggressively behind them.
Further down Manning River Road, the 51-year-old allegedly drove his car into the back of one of the bicycles while it was in motion, causing the 61-year-old rider to fall off, sustaining minor cuts to his knee.
Shortly after, officers attached to Manning-Great Lakes Highway Patrol were flagged down by the two cyclists, and rendered assistance.
The 51-year-old man later attended Taree Police Station and spoke with police.
He was placed under arrest and charged with predatory driving x2, drive motor vehicle menaces another with intent x2, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, destroy property with intent to injure, and attempt intimidate intend fear of harm.
The man was granted conditional bail to attend Forster Local Court in January 2019.
