Man charged following indecent assault of child in Lansvale

Police have charged a man following investigations into the alleged aggravated indecent assault of a child at a fast food restaurant in Lansvale yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3.30pm today, a 29-year-old man entered a restaurant on the Hume Highway and headed towards the toilets.

As he walked past a child that was sitting in a high-chair he allegedly put his hand between his legs and touched him inappropriately.

The matter was reported to police who attended and viewed CCTV before arresting the man and taking him to Cabramatta Police Station where he was charged with aggravated indecent assault.

He was given bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on 1 August 2016.
