Man charged following sexual assault at Southbank

Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives arrested and charged a man with sexual assault following incidents at Southbank last night, Victoria Police say.

Police allege a man was walking along Southbank Promenade about 6.15pm on Saturday 14 October.

The man allegedly bumped into a number of people and attempted to start fights with them.

He then sexually assaulted two women before police caught up with the man and arrested him.

A 33-year-old Caulfield has been charged with sexual assault and remanded to appear at court today.

Police are investigating if there were any further incidents.
