Man Charged in Fatal Gregory Hills Hit-and-Run

A driver has been charged after a man died when hit by a car in Sydney's south-west on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to Village Circuit, Gregory Hills, about 10:15pm (Thursday 28 August 2025), following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command found a 67-year-old man had been struck by a car, that allegedly failed to stop.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where he later died.

Police established a crime scene which was forensically examined by specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.

About 10:20pm yesterday (Friday 29 August 2025), a 31-year-old man attended Narellan Police Station where he was arrested and charged with fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death.

He has been refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 30 August 2025).

His licence has been suspended.
