Man Charged in Tahmoor Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Case

A man has been charged over number of traffic and assault offences in Macarthur area.

Just after 6.45pm on Tuesday (29 August 2023), emergency services were called to a service station on Thirlmere Way, Tahmoor, following reports of a pedestrian was hit by a car.

On arrival, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command located the 52-year-old man suffering from scratches and bruises.

Police were told there was an argument involving the man and another driver, who had left the scene.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries.

Following inquiries, a 46-year-old man was arrested in Thirlmere, about 9.15pm on same day, before being taken to Narellan Police station.

He was charged with drive furiously in motor vehicle do/cause bodily harm, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and common assault.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court in October (Wednesday 18 October 2023).
