Man charged over domestic incident and firearms in Gundagai

Police have charged a man allegedly involved in a domestic incident at Gundagai over the weekend, NSW Police say.

About 9.30pm on Sunday (15 October 2017), a 46-year-old man became involved in an altercation with a 39-year-old woman where threats were allegedly made.

About 12.35am on Monday yesterday, police attended a home on Tom Street, Gundagai.

During a search of a caravan at the property, police allegedly located two firearms.

About 8.30am today, police stopped a vehicle on Grahamstown Road, Tumblong, and arrested a man.

He was taken to Tumut Police Station and charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (domestic), contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic), resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty, numerous firearm offences including possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, possess unregistered firearm-prohibited firearm, possess unauthorised firearm, not keep firearm safely (x2), possess prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime

The man was refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court tomorrow.
