Man charged with inappropriate behaviour in Ulverstone, TAS

A 41-year-old man from Burnie has been charged following a number of offences that occurred in the Ulverstone area yesterday, Tasmania Police say.

The man has been charged with counts of stalking, assault and committing a common nuisance following incidents at Tobruk Park, West Ulverstone and Coles Supermarket, around 5pm yesterday.

Several women were approached by the man, who was acting in an inappropriate and aggressive manner. He was arrested by Ulverstone Police a short time later.

The man was refused police bail today and will appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man acting suspiciously around Tobruk Park or inside Coles Supermarket, to please come forward.
