Man Charged with Trafficking Post Spreyton Drug Seizure

A 32-year-old Victorian man has been charged with major drug trafficking after police seized 233 grams of ecstasy and ketamine at Spreyton on Friday.

Devonport Uniform officers were called to a trespass incident at a business on Racecourse Road, where the man was arrested and searched.

Police located a bag containing 28 grams of ecstasy and a small knife.

A subsequent search at a private residence by Uniform officers and members of the Western Drug and Firearms Unit resulted in the seizure of a further 162 grams of ecstasy and 43 grams of ketamine.

Police also seized a quantity of cash.

The Victorian man was charged with trafficking (major offence), multiple other drug-related offences, and possess a dangerous article in a public place.

He was detained and was expected to appear in an out of hours court at the weekend.
