Man Dies After Crash - Ettalong Beach

A driver has died following a single-vehicle crash on the states central coast.

About 4.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 August 2026), emergency services were called to Barrenjoey Road, Ettalong Beach, following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Brisbane Water Highway Patrol found a single vehicle had crashed into a parked car.

The driver – a 64-year-old man – and sole occupant - was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

Police were told the man later died in hospital.

There were no other reports of injuries.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
