Man dies in crash at Auburn

A man has died in a single vehicle crash in Auburn today.

About 3.30am (Wednesday 7 October 2020), emergency services were called to Wellington Road where a BMW i25 sedan had crashed into a tree.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, commenced CPR on the driver and sole occupant – an 18-year-old man – who remained trapped in the vehicle. Despite efforts to revive him, he died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.

Wellington Road is closed in both directions near the intersection of Chisholm Road.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
