Man fatally shot - Bondi Junction

A man has died after being shot at Bondi Junction today.

About 8.30am (Tuesday 27 June 2023), emergency services were called to Spring Street, Bondi Junction, following reports a man had been shot while he was sitting in a stationary vehicle in a carpark.

The male driver died at the scene. He has not been formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 40s.

Police believe a burnt-out Porsche located on James Street, Bondi Junction, about the same time, is linked to the shooting.

Detectives are also investigating whether a second burnt-out vehicle – a Holden Commodore located on Cook Lane, Zetland – is potentially linked to the shooting.

Three crime scenes have been established, which will be forensically examined by specialist police.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command and detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad have commenced an investigation.
