Man in court charged with multiple DV offences - south

A man is due to appear in court today charged with 19 domestic violence-related offences alleged to have occurred in the Liverpool and Fairfield areas.

Officers attached to the South West Metropolitan Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team has been investigating reports of domestic violence incidents between Monday 22 May 2023 and yesterday (Tuesday 30 May 2023) across south west Sydney.

These offences are alleged to have occurred in the Liverpool City, Fairfield City, Burwood, and Cumberland police area commands, involving acts directed towards a 42-year-old woman.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 32-year-old man in Berry Street, Clyde, about 11.30am yesterday, and took him to Granville Police Station where he was charged with 19 offences.

• Stalk/intimidate – intend to cause fear or physical harm (eight counts)

• Contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) (six counts)

• Enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse (two counts)

• Enter dwelling with intent

• Goods in custody, and,

• Breach of bail.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 31 May 2023).
