Man injured on Epping roadway, police seek info

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was found injured in Epping tonight.

Emergency services were called to Boronia Avenue about 7.45pm (Monday 6 March 2023), after a resident heard a loud noise and came out to find a man lying unconscious on the roadway.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics rendered assistance until a medical team was brought to the scene by the Toll helicopter which landed on a tennis court in Grant Close.

Police have been told the man's injuries appear consistent with being hit by a vehicle; however, no vehicle was seen to have stopped after the impact.

The man has been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.

At this time police are still to identify the man, who is described as being of Asian appearance and in his 60s or 70s.

The Crash Investigation Unit is en route to the scene to conduct inquiries.
