The man reported missing from Sydney's southeast has been located safe and well.
The 79-year-old was last seen on Anzac Parade, Chifley, about 3pm yesterday (Friday 2 September 2022).
After failing to return home, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced an investigation to locate him.
Following inquiries, including a public appeal for assistance and geo-target SMS alert, a member of the public located the man in Westfield East Gardens about 9.50am today (Saturday 3 September 2022).
He is safe and well and will be reunited with his family.
Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
