Man robs Carlsruhe servo

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Carlsruhe north-west of Melbourne last night, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a man wearing a balaclava and armed with a firearm entered the service station on Cobb and Co Road about 7.20pm.

The man approached the attendant and made demands for cash.

A small amount of cash was handed over and the man fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.

He was last seen travelling south on Cobb and Co Road towards Woodend.

No one was injured during the incident.

The man is described as being aged in his 20s, 180cm tall and had an Australian accent.

He was wearing a black balaclava, grey hooded jumper, black jacket, black pants and black shoes.

Investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.
