Man suffers spinal injuries after assault - Surry Hills

A man has been taken to hospital suffering serious injuries following an assault in Surry Hills today.

About 1.45am (Saturday 3 October 2020), police patrolling in Surry Hills came across a man lying unconscious on the road at the intersection of Albion Street and Elizabeth Street.

Police called for the assistance of NSW Ambulance paramedics who arrived on scene and treated the 29-year-old man for suspected spinal injuries. He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for further treatment.

Police arrested two men and a woman at the scene.

They were taken to Surry Hills Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
