Marangaroo search warrant arrest, WA

As part of their ongoing investigation into the sale and distribution of firearms, Regional Investigations Unit officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Marangaroo yesterday, Tuesday 25 September 2018.

It is alleged during the search, police located and seized:, WA Police say-

•Sawn off rifle with loaded magazine;

•Altered replica handgun with loaded magazine;

•A quantity of ammunition for the above firearms;

•Approximately 88 grams of MDMA;

•Approximately 56 grams of cannabis;

•Approximately 1 gram of MDMA powder;

•Approximately 1 gram of Dex-Amphetamine tablets;

•Stolen Honda motorcycle; and

•Drug paraphernalia.

A 26-year-old man from Marangaroo is due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court today (26 September 2018) charged with:-

•Four counts Possess Prohibited Drug;

•Two counts of Possess Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property;

•Possess Firearm (Aggravated);

•Possess Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply (MDMA);

•Ready Access to Drugs and Weapons;

•Possess Ammunition; and

•Possess Prohibited Weapon.
