Marine exclusion zone at Rockhampton

Police have established a marine exclusion zone in the Fitzroy River at Rockhampton as part of an ongoing search and rescue operation to locate a missing 36-year-old Kawana man.

The area (pictured) will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, October 21, from approximately 6am to 4pm while police and emergency services conduct a wide-ranging surface and aerial search.

All vessels and recreational water users are requested to avoid the area, which stretches from the the Fitzroy Bridge (also known as the "Old Bridge") to the freshwater barrage.
