Marine search underway at Sleaford

Police and emergency services are currently searching coastal waters for a man at Mary Ellis Beach in the Sleaford area.

At 4.11pm today police were alerted to an emergency south west of Port Lincoln.

Seven people were initially reported to be caught in a rip and unable to get back to shore.

Six people have since been helped from the water and are in the care of SA Ambulance. A man from the group is still missing.

PolAir is on its way to the location and a State Emergency Service vessel is also making its way to the area. A SES drone will also be used to assist in the search.
