Mayor Regan re-elected till Council elections in December

Northern Beaches

Councillor Michael Regan was last night re-elected Mayor of Northern Beaches Council.

Cr Regan, who represents the Curl Curl Ward, will hold the post of Mayor for the remainder of the Council term when full Council elections will be held on Saturday 4 December 2021.

The term for the position of Mayor expired on 11 September but had to go to re-election due to the NSW Government postponing the 2020 council elections due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Councillor Regan was the first elected Mayor of Northern Beaches Council, voted in 2016 and has remained in the position for three terms. He was also served two terms as Mayor of former Warringah Council from 2008 to 2016.
