MEDIA ADVISORY: Appeal after luxury vehicles stolen in break-in - Murray River

Police will speak to the media today as they appeal for information after two luxury vehicles were stolen, with the attempted theft of a third, during break and enter in the state's south in the early hours of this morning.

Officers from Murray River Police District have commenced an investigation into a break and enter at a car dealership on Dean Street, Albury, which is reported to have occurred between 3.30am and 4am today (Friday 16 December 2022), with two Mercedes Benz cars stolen.

A Mercedes was driven through bollards and travelled only a short distance before being abandoned on a Dean Street walkway after receiving significant damage.

Police have since located a white Mercedes Coupe at a car park on Alexandra Street, East Albury.

Police are searching for the third vehicle, a white 2018 Mercedes SUV, with Victorian registration AVK740.

Witnesses, motorists with dashcam vison, or nearby businesses with CCTV are urged to come forward.
