The Minns Labor Government is investing more than $2.7 million over the next three years to support women's health, wellbeing and economic empowerment initiatives through the 2026/27 Investing in Women Grants.
Programs delivered by eight recipients will help improve outcomes for women and girls, particularly those experiencing barriers to employment, or access to resources or services.
Delivering against the NSW Women's Strategy, programs funded for 2026/27 include programs running across the state that empower women to build their careers and lead.
This includes, for example, Aspire Works, which will run a multiyear program to support 75 Aboriginal women in Blacktown LGA to build sustainable careers in aviation linked to Western Sydney International Airport. The program combines culturally safe mentoring job readiness training, industry engagement and employment placement support.
Tapping into the move towards renewable energy, Community Power Agency will also support 20 women from regional, rural and remote New South Wales with its Careers for Women in Clean Energy Engagement Project. They will be provided with accredited training and mentoring to build community engagement careers in the clean energy sector.
For 13 years, the Investing in Women Funding program has supported more than 140 organisations to improve the lives of women and girls, expanding economic opportunities, creating leadership pathways and strengthening health and wellbeing.
The Program offers single and multi-year grants to not-for-profit, social enterprises and majority women-owned and managed small businesses.

Minister for Women Jodie Harrison said:
"The NSW Government is pleased to fund eight exciting new projects to boost women in leadership roles, improved health and wellbeing outcomes and provide pathways to employment for women across diverse sectors - including aviation, energy and local government.
"These projects will also support improved access to services and co-designed products, meeting the needs of women across the state.
"This is part of the Minns Labor Government's wider work to enable more women to thrive now and into the future."
Community Power Agency Director Claudia Hodge said:
"Community Power Agency is thrilled to be awarded this funding to empower women who live in regional NSW communities undergoing energy transition.
"This grant will help regional women re-train and up-skill to deliver quality, locally-led community engagement in the renewable energy sector.
"Women and gender-diverse people have a vital role to play in engaging their local regional community to participate in a fair and fast energy transition, and we are proud to help build that capacity on the ground."
