A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a man's body was found at Fairy Meadow beach, North Wollongong.
Emergency services from NSW Police, NSW Marine Rescue and Surf Life Saving NSW began searching for the man, who was reported to have entered the water and failed to reappear, to police at 6.40pm Sunday 29 October 2023.
An extensive search of the beach and surrounding waters commenced, but the man was unable to be located.
Just after 8am today (Friday 3 November 2023), emergency services were called to Fairy Meadow beach, following a concern for welfare, where the man's body was recovered from the water.
The body is yet to be formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
