Kingston's much-loved Mordi Fest is set to light up the Mordialloc foreshore once again, with two unforgettable days of live music, great food and relaxed summer vibes by the bay.
Taking place on Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March, the community festival will transform the foreshore into a vibrant celebration of everything that makes Kingston special – from outstanding Australian music to local flavours and family-friendly fun.
This year's headline acts promise a spectacular weekend of entertainment. Indie favourites Teenage Dads will take to the stage on Saturday night with their energetic live show and infectious indie-pop sound. On Sunday, Australian music icon Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows will close out the festival in style, bringing decades of timeless blues, soul and classic hits to the Mordi Fest stage.
Across three stages, festival-goers can enjoy an exciting line-up of live performances, with the best of Australian music drifting out across Port Phillip Bay.
Also new in 2026, Sunday will feature a Battle of the Bands with emerging local artists from five high schools going head-to-head in a showcase of fresh talent.
Mayor Georgina Oxley said Mordi Fest is a highlight of Kingston's events calendar and a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together.
"Mordi Fest is one of those truly special events that captures the spirit of Kingston – relaxed, welcoming and full of life," Cr Oxley said.
"There's nothing better than spending a summer weekend by the water with great live music, delicious food and friends and family. We're incredibly proud to bring this event to our community and to showcase both fantastic Australian artists and our beautiful bayside setting.
"Whether you're coming along to see Teenage Dads, sing along with Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows, keen to check out Battle of the Bands, or simply to enjoy the atmosphere, there really is something for everyone."
In addition to the music, visitors can indulge in a range of food trucks, local beers and wines, and soak up the easy-going summer atmosphere by the sea. An alcohol-free, family-friendly zone ensures the event remains inclusive and welcoming for all ages.
Mordi Fest will be held at Peter Scullin Reserve in Mordialloc on Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March. Entry is just $5 per person or $10 for families.
