The McGowan Government and Wesfarmers have partnered on a new initiative to increase vaccinations across Western Australia.
The pop-up Bunnings clinics will each provide up to 250 vaccinations per day, for people to drop in without an appointment.
A new State-run community vaccination clinic will also open tomorrow (October 25) at Carramar Village Shopping Centre, giving residents in Perth's northern suburbs another opportunity to get vaccinated.
Opening times are 9am to 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; 9am to 7pm on Thursday; and 11am to 4.30pm on Sunday. The clinic will initially provide around 2,000 vaccinations each week but will increase depending on demand.
Additional clinics are being planned for Mandurah, Ellenbrook and Canning Vale and are expected to open from early November.
Community vaccination clinics are now open at Armadale Central Shopping Centre, The Square Mirrabooka, Centrepoint Midland Shopping Centre, Claremont Showgrounds, Kwinana Supa Centre, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City.
WA Health State COVID-19 vaccination clinics are available in more than 100 locations across WA, with sites listed on the HealthyWA website (click on COVID-19), and people can attend any State-run clinic without an appointment.
The State-run clinics are in addition to the participating GPs, pharmacies, Aboriginal Medical Services and GP respiratory clinics, which are managed by the Commonwealth, to provide COVID-19 vaccines across Western Australia.
WA's vaccination program will also get a shot in the arm with the launch of a new Roll Up for WA bus - a joint effort between WA Health and WA Police to further support the roll-out.
The Roll Up for WA bus, along with two additional police vehicles, will be deployed across WA to ensure vaccination equipment and staff can be easily transported to new pop-up clinic locations.
All Western Australians aged 12 years and above are urged to visit www.rollup.wa.gov.au to register and book their vaccination appointments as soon as possible.
As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:
"Western Australians love Bunnings and now access to a COVID-19 jab is as easy as getting an item for a DIY project.
"Everyone aged 12 years and over can now get the COVID-19 vaccine - and that includes the DIY enthusiasts, tradies and casual shoppers visiting selected Bunnings stores.
"We're extending access to the vaccine by going out into the community where Western Australians live and work - and bringing the vaccine to them.
"The new clinics set to open in Carramar, Mandurah, Ellenbrook and Canning Vale, in addition to the hundreds of pop-up clinics across regional areas, will make getting a COVID-19 vaccine easier for Western Australians.
"Now is the time to get vaccinated - we finally have the supply, we have the capacity, and we want people to come and get vaccinated now.
"If you haven't yet been vaccinated, I urge you to please drop in and get the jab."

"In the past couple of weeks we've opened new vaccination clinics in Mirrabooka, Armadale and now Carramar, with clinics in Ellenbrook and Mandurah planned to open in coming weeks.
"I urge everyone who lives or works near the new State-run clinics to make the most of this opportunity and get vaccinated as soon as possible.
"Bookings are preferred and will be prioritised but you can still attend any State-run clinic without an appointment."

"WA Police has provided a repurposed bus as well as additional police vehicles which will be available to support pop-up clinics throughout WA.

"Remember, it takes up to five weeks for your body to build up immunity once you've had your first dose, so don't wait until the Delta strain hits WA. Get vaccinated now."
