More Green Space For Families In Flemington

VIC Premier

Flemington residents will benefit from a brand-new green space opening this year.

Murnalung Park will open in mid-2026 and includes a large children's play space, scooter track, an exercise space, spaces for a community market and picnic tables.

The 5,000 square metre space was named by local Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Elders and means 'bee'.

It will be open before the completion of the nearby Holland Court development this year.

Labor is building 286 new properties, including a mix of one, two and three-bedroom homes for families.

All have energy-efficient features, modern kitchens, European laundries and private balconies.

They will be a mix of social and affordable rental homes, including Specialist Disability Accommodation, complete with a multipurpose community room and space for a café.

As well as Murnalung Park, the Holland Court development also includes a pocket park, amphitheater, forecourt, and pedestrian and cyclist pathways better connecting the site to the neighbourhood.

Holland Court is being delivered through a world-leading Ground Lease Model program.

Labor is delivering Australia's largest urban renewal program, rebuilding 44 high-rise public housing towers.

Victorian families deserve to live in safe, modern and accessible homes.

For six years, the Liberals and Greens have united to stop Labor's housing agenda at every turn.

The Liberals don't believe in social housing - only Labor can deliver the homes and services Victorians need.

As stated by Minister for Housing and Building Nick Staikos

"Holland Court is going to be a vibrant, modern, green space for local families - both those who live there and the wider community."

"Labor is taking action to make sure Victorian families have the safe and modern homes they deserve."

As stated by Member for Essendon Danny Pearson

"I am thrilled about the opening of Murnalung Park - a space designed to bring the Flemington community together."
